WATCH: NFL Films follows Dave Logan's 'ascent to greatness'

Dave Logan is in elite company. The football coach at Cherry Creek High and the voice of the Broncos on KOA radio is one of only three athletes in history to be drafted by the NFL, NBA and MLB. Hall-of-fame right fielder Dave Winfield and former Kansas City Chiefs tight end Mickey McCarty are the others.

A former Wheat Ridge High standout, Logan was awarded The Post's Gold Helmet Award in 1971 and was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 19th round of the 1972 MLB draft. But he chose to forego a career in baseball to attend the University of Colorado.
