Looking back at five key plays in the Broncos’ 23-22 victory against the Chargers.
1. PUNT TRICKERY
Situation: The Broncos faced fourth-and-5 from their own 47-yard line with 12:58 in the second quarter. LA led 6-0.
Denver is lucky the deficit remained one possession after Chargers’ penalties derailed two potential LA touchdown drives forcing field goals. The Broncos offense sputtered and faced a third punt in three series, but flipped the script with fake perfection. Colby Wadman caught the snap with fullback Andy Janovich in punt protect on the right edge. Wadman rolled left with Janovich following on an underneath route.
