Wade Phillips wore a big smile on his face sitting in the back of a meeting room Monday morning at Dove Valley, his regular roost in Broncos headquarters, less than a day after he — how should we describe it? — tumbled to the hospital.
“They say it was a collision on the sideline,” Phillips said Monday. “But actually I got run over.”
The Denver defensive coordinator returned to work after a scary moment in Sunday afternoon’s game against San Diego, when a Chargers player inadvertently ran into Phillips on the sideline, knocking him to the ground.
