Since drafting perennial pro-bowler Von Miller second overall in the 2011 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos have never missed a playoff appearance—until now. With the news today that head coach and long-time Broncos’ backup quarterback Gary Kubiak would be stepping down from the reigning Super Bowl champions, the face of the franchise is staying humble and keeping to his roots.
Miller, who is now in his sixth season with the Orange & Blue, credits Kubiak to his personal success on and off the field; even though Kubiak was only there for a fragment of his time in the National Football League.
