Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller was named the AFC’s defensive player of the week for his three-sack performance against the Colts.
The award is the third weekly conference honor of Miller’s career, tying him with Ring of Fame linebacker Karl Mecklenburg for the most AFC defensive player awards in Broncos history.
Miller was previously the conference’s top defensive player in Weeks 11 of both the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
Against Indianapolis last Sunday, Miller matched his career-high with three tackles, which included a fourth-quarter strip sack of Andrew Luck with 1:51 remaining that linebacker Shane Ray recovered and returned for a touchdown.
