The new guy on the Iditarod sled didn’t waste any time asking his lead dog to start pulling even harder.
“I think Von Miller can play even better than he’s played in his career,” new Broncos coach Vic Fangio said Thursday afternoon at his introductory news conference.
Better than 98 sacks and seven Pro Bowls over your first eight NFL seasons, which the Broncos’ all-pro linebacker has accomplished?
“Von Miller can be one of the rare players in this league,” Fangio said. “Much like (Bears outside linebacker) Khalil (Mack) is.”
The 60-year-old Fangio knows the bar better than anyone, which is why, when it comes to pass rushers, he doesn’t mind raising it.
