Many thought it would be 2015 or never but as 2016 approaches; it’s looking more and more like Virgil Green’s breakout season might just be on the horizon.
On a Denver Broncos offense full of uncertainties, Green’s promising preseason has been one of the few constants.
“Virgil has done a really good job,” said head coach Gary Kubiak. “He’s taken advantage of an opportunity. I can’t speak for when I wasn’t here, but Virgil has always been a [second tight end]. He was for us last year with Owen [Daniels] here. We bring Jeff in, and we think Jeff has a bright future here, but Virgil just keeps plugging and making plays.
