The Broncos quarterback uncertainty creates external skepticism. Some national prognosticators recently predicted the defending Super Bowl champions would go 7-9 and finish third in the AFC West. There's no Peyton Manning, no Brock Osweiler, and no Mark Sanchez for the opening of organized team activities - because of a repaired ligament in Sanchez's left thumb - and no experience between second-year player Trevor Siemian and rookie Paxton Lynch.
That doesn't mean zero positives exist. As the Broncos look to improve their offense, the tight end position represents an intriguing starting point. Virgil Green, the often forgotten veteran who has struggled to break out of typecasting as a blocker, sees the opportunity for an expanded role.
