Tight end Virgil Green (calf strain), outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware (forearm) and offensive tackle Donald Stephenson (calf) were ruled out of Sunday’s game at Cincinnati and will not travel with the team, coach Gary Kubiak said Friday.
Green, the Broncos’ leading tight end this season, was day-to-day after suffering a calf injury in Denver’s win over the Colts last Sunday, but he did not practice all week. He told local media Friday that the injury isn’t as bad as past calf injuries he has had and that he hopes to be ready for Week 4 at Tampa Bay.
