Vance Walker's injury means Broncos look to others in defensive line

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The Denver Broncos still believe they have the depth in the defensive line to do what they’d like to do against opposing offenses, but they might be crossing their fingers in hopes of avoiding any other issues.

The Broncos lost a starter this week when defensive end Vance Walker suffered a torn right ACL in Monday's practice. Walker had been a player coach Gary Kubiak routinely had singled out after practices for consistently making impact plays in training camp.

"It's tough because Vance was becoming a really good player," Kubiak said after Tuesday's practice.
