Coming off a disappointing 5-11 season, John Elway and the Denver Broncos came very close to parting ways with Vance Joseph at the conclusion of the 2017 season. However, rather than risking a fourth different coaching staff in five seasons, Elway gave Joseph another chance.
And it’s a better chance all things considered. Elway first improved the quarterback position immeasurably by signing veteran Case Keenum. He then drafted pretty well in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Given all that, Joseph should be on the hot seat to start this season. If the Broncos come out lackluster and start losing some games, the wheels on Joseph’s reign as head coach of the Denver Broncos will come right off.
