Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph was not a popular hire when Sean Payton made him his defensive coordinator. His stint as head coach with the Broncos did not go well and he was eventually fired which was celebrated by fans. On top of that, the Broncos started the 2023 season going 0-3 which included the Dolphins dropping 70 points on Joseph’s defense. This led to many, myself included, who called for Joseph to be fired after just three games. That did not happen, which was widely questioned but that appears to have been the correct choice.
