ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Denver Broncos coach Vance Joseph gave first-year special-teams coordinator Brock Olivo a vote of confidence Monday in spite of a historically difficult evening Sunday in a 41-16 loss to the New England Patriots.
The Broncos had four major mistakes on special teams and those miscues led directly to 24 points for the Patriots. Two of the mistakes -- a muffed punt by rookie wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie and a 103-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Patriots running back Dion Lewis -- came in the game’s opening minutes.
