One play. Two injuries. Two weeks absence?
The Broncos are bracing for strong safety T.J. Ward and nose tackle Sylvester Williams to miss Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers and possibly the Oakland Raiders the next week.
Both players were scheduled to undergo magnetic resonance imaging exams Monday morning on high ankle sprains. On a 2-yard run by New England's LeGarrette Blount at the end of the first quarter Sunday, Ward was rolled up on and Williams twisted his right ankle in the pile. Neither returned to the game and each left the victorious postgame locker room on crutches.
