It’s been 13 days since Tony Romo said his goodbyes and thanks to Cowboy fans. Thirteen days since it was believed Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would release his long-time quarterback. Thirteen days since Romo was set to be the biggest name free agent on the market.
And, everyone is still waiting. Romo is still a Cowboy, a lame-duck one, and the Texans and Broncos are still viewed as the leading contenders to sign him, if Jones releases Romo.
Jones is trying to get something for Romo via trade but no team has been willing to give up assets in exchange for a 36-year-old oft-injured quarterback who has a massive contract and is expected to released anyway.
