The Denver Broncos' Mile High Mascot, Bucky: Denver's Bronco

Denver Post sports columnist Woody Paige pauses to reflect on Bucky, the Denver Broncos’ mascot. Bucky is a 27-foot tall, 1,600-pound statue made of fiberglass and metal that stands atop Sports Authority Field at Mile High’s south scoreboard. Moved from the old Mile High Stadium, Bucky has seen every down played by the Broncos since he was originally sculpted in 1975. Bucky was removed from the former stadium in May 2001, and waited three months before being installed in his new home.
