The Denver Broncos have cut veteran safety Shamarko Thomas.

The Denver Broncos have cut sixth-year veteran safety Shamarko Thomas. The Broncos signed Thomas as they continued to try and reform their secondary. With the emergence of Dymonte Thomas this offseason, the Broncos decided to stay young at the position.

Thomas, 27, spent his first four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being drafted in the fourth round of that ill-fated 2013 NFL Draft. He spent time with two other teams before joining the Broncos this season.
