With the NFL’s supplemental draft happening on Wednesday, Orange & Blue 760 caught up with former first-round supplemental draft pick for the Denver Broncos in 1989, Bobby Humphrey.

He became the first Broncos running back in team history to put up back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons in his first two seasons in the NFL. However, he held out for a better contract before his third NFL season and that fateful decision led to an abrupt end to what was a promising career.

In two seasons, he rushed for 2,353 yards and 14 touchdowns. He played in Super Bowl 24 against the San Francisco 49ers and made the Pro Bowl in 1990.
