It was no secret that Denver Broncos offensive line struggled last season. The group was a hodge-podge of aging veterans and inexperienced youth. Since then, two starting-caliber tackles were acquired, and after some personnel shifting, a decent looking projected five up front was set.
Just over a week into camp, though, that ideal unit has started to crumble.
Certainly, this time of year teams constantly waive, sign, place players on injured reserve, etc. but the Denver Broncos have suddenly been hit with a rash of offensive line injuries resulting in several moves. Both Thursday and Friday the Broncos waived players (WR Marlon Brown, and G/C Sam Brenner) and signed offensive linemen (OL Sam Carlson and OL Mathu Gibson).
