All week long, we’ve been chronicling the Denver Broncos Super Bowl woes from the first one in 1977 to the disaster in 1989. As tough and as annoying as it was to relive those games, it was all a setup to remind us how fantastic it was to finally see this franchise get over that Super Bowl hump.
The Green Bay Packers marched right back to the NFC crown with a 13-3 regular season record, while easily taking down their playoff foes by a combined score of 44-17.
Meanwhile, the Broncos had a much tougher road to the Super Bowl after stumbling late in the season losing three in a four-game stretch that helped the division rival Kansas City Chiefs beat them out for the AFC West crown.
