The son of Broncos owner Pat Bowlen has been denied in his appeal of a harassment conviction stemming from a Glendale domestic disturbance.
On Wednesday, Arapahoe County District Judge John L. Wheeler affirmed John Michael Bowlen’s April conviction of a June 2015 domestic violence incident.
Bowlen, through his attorney, had appealed the conviction based on grounds that the arresting officer did not properly fill out a summons.
Wheeler cited, among other factors, form vs. substance.
“Based on the totality of the circumstances, the Court finds that the defendant was provided with sufficient notice of the factual specificity of the Harassment charge against him,” the ruling said.
