In 2024 Denver used a three-headed rushing attack, with Javonte Williams (139) , Jaleel McLaughlin (113) , and Audric Estime (76) each earning significant carries. Williams is a free agent and not expected to re-sign with the Broncos and was the Broncos primary back on passing plays. Sean Payton was hesitant to have Estime play on passing downs at all (he carried the ball on over half of his snaps, Williams did on 24% of his and McLaughlin on 38% of his). Not only will Denver have a lot of running carries to replace in 2025, but also a large number of running back snaps on passing downs.
