Short on defensive linemen, Broncos sign Kyle Peko, promote Deyon Sizer

Ahead of Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Broncos announced four transactions on Saturday.

Signed were nose tackle Kyle Peko (off Indianapolis’ practice squad) and defensive lineman Deyon Sizer (from the Broncos’ practice squad). Reinforcements were needed because of injuries to DeMarcus Walker (ankle) and Adam Gotsis (knee), who have been ruled out for Sunday. Dre’Mont Jones (ankle) is listed as questionable.

Peko (6-foot-1, 305 pounds) was with the Broncos during the 2016-17 seasons and 2018 training camp. He has appeared in 11 career games, including four for Buffalo this year.

Sizer (6-foot-4, 280 pounds) graduated from Eaglecrest High in Aurora before attending Colorado State-Pueblo.
