ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Sometimes Twitter makes people laugh, sometimes it makes folks angry, sometimes it informs and sometimes it get a guy a job.
Or at least helps along the way.
In need of depth because of three injuries at safety, the Denver Broncos signed Shiloh Keo to the roster Wednesday. Keo played three seasons with the Houston Texans -- he played in 42 games, starting 11 in those three years -- and Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips was the Texans’ defensive coordinator for all three of those seasons.
And Keo, a free agent since he was released by the Cincinnati Bengals just before the start of the regular season, decided to take matters into his own hands, 140 characters at a time.
