Shane Ray, Su’a Cravens take issue with being deactivated vs. Cleveland

Broncos linebacker Shane Ray and safety Su’a Cravens reacted Monday about being healthy scratches for Saturday’s loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Ray was benched in favor of rookie Jeff Holland, who made his NFL debut. Cravens was deactivated for rookie Trey Marshall, who also made his debut. Dymonte Thomas played Cravens’ role on defense.

Ray, a former first-round pick who will be a free agent in March, was unsure if he will be active Monday at Oakland.

“I hope they let me know sooner than they did this last time,” Ray said.
