The Denver Broncos embarked on a major overhaul of their roster during this past offseason. One could say their motto was, “Out with the old, in with the new.” By doing so, they went from being one of the oldest teams in the National Football League to one of the youngest.
A large part of that was out of necessity due to the enormous dead cap hit incurred by moving on from Russell Wilson. However, another main reason was to help change the identity and culture of the squad. All offseason, the Broncos’ coaching staff and players talked about their youthfulness being an advantage.
