The Broncos kept one but lost another.
Shortly after the Broncos matched the Dolphins' four-year, $18 million offer sheet to keep running back C.J. Anderson, safety and special-teamer David Bruton signed a three-year contract with the Washington Redskins, worth $9 million and reportedly includes $1.5 million incentives.
"It's definitely tough," Bruton told The Denver Post. "I think if it had been after my first four years it wouldn't be a problem (leaving), but I have such love for the city and fan base that it was tough."
Bruton said he was shocked when the Broncos didn't receive a new offer immediately after free agency began, but knew the team's list of free agents and moving pieces was long and growing longer by the day.
