Ryan Clady tears left ACL; Broncos tackle could miss 2015 season

Pro Bowl left tackle Ryan Clady is expected to miss the 2015 season after tearing his left anterior cruciate ligament during organized team activities Wednesday.

Team trainers examined Clady after he experienced discomfort while backpedaling in a non-contact pass protection drill. Clady's knee buckled, but he never went down to the ground. He stayed in for one more play, but visited a local doctor later in the afternoon. MRI results Thursday morning confirmed the devastating news.

The Broncos plan to wait eight to 10 days for the swelling to subside before deciding on surgery. As a result, coach Gary Kubiak wasn't prepared to rule Clady out for the season, although the recovery time for such an injury would make it difficult for him to return.
