The arrival of offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello and quarterback Joe Flacco to Broncos could mean increased opportunities for the team’s tight ends, which has already gotten the attention of Jeff Heuerman.
“I’m looking forward to working with some of the new guys and Joe and (Rich),” Heuerman said Tuesday at the Broncos’ facility. “It’s going to be fun.”
Heuerman, 26, signed a two-year contract last week to remain with the Broncos.
In Flacco’s 11-year career with Baltimore, tight ends Todd Heap, Ed Dickson, Dennis Pitta, and Benjamin Watson all had fine seasons. Pitta (729 yards) and Watson (522) led the Ravens in receiving in 2016-17.
