It's a fitting bookend for Tyler Polumbus' football life, which began and now ends in the Mile High City, as he announced his retirement Tuesday via Facebook.
Once a promising prospect at Cherry Creek High School mere miles from the Broncos' headquarters, Polumbus stayed in his home state for college at the University of Colorado. He would earn All-Big 12 Conference honors as a senior before moving on to the professional level.
Once again, Polumbus stayed in Colorado as his football career progressed. The Broncos had their eye on him as an undrafted college free agent, and he became part of an 11-year streak of a CFA making his way onto the final roster as a rookie before appearing in all 16 games.
