John Elway and the Denver Broncos may be looking to 2019 and beyond as the team continues to falter, now 3-5 after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. One key piece they are reportedly looking to move is wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.
Thomas, 30, will count $14 million against the cap next season and is a logical move for Elway to make given the emergence of rookie Courtland Sutton.
According to Michael Giardi of NFL Network, the New England Patriots are a team that may be considering a trade to acquire Thomas from Denver prior to next weeks’ trade deadline.
