According to 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis, Denver Broncos special teams assistant coach Chris Banjo is nearing a deal to become the New York Jets special teams coach. The Jets hired Broncos assistant general manager Darren Mougey to be their general manager and now they’re hiring Broncos assistant special teams coordinator Chris Banjo to be their new special teams coordinator.
Per source, Chris Banjo and Jets are working on a deal that will make him their new special teams coordinator. Deal should be done tonight.
Banjo was Broncos special teams assistant the past two years.
