This addition was needed after starting right tackle Ja’Wuan James opted out of the 2020 NFL season due to Covid-19 concerns. This left Elijah Wilkinson as the expected starter at right tackle, but now longtime starting right tackle of the Tampa Bay Bucs will now compete for that starting job in the coming training camp practices.
