INDIANAPOLIS -- Now that he’s called it a career, former Indianapolis Colts receiver Reggie Wayne finally talked about what Peyton Manning's infamous “Omaha!” call at the line of scrimmage means.
Wayne talked about his former teammate’s call Sunday while on NFL Network’s pregame show.
"'Omaha!' means he's going the other way,” Wayne said. “If [the original play] is a dive right, 'Omaha!' means dive left.'"
Wayne, who was Manning’s teammate for 11 seasons in Indianapolis, said the quarterback used to have his receivers memorize four typed pages of “font 12” signals before every game.
