Receiver Jerry Jeudy drafted by Denver Broncos with 15th pick in NFL draft

Broncos general manager John Elway has finally drafted a player from Alabama.

Staying put at No. 15 in the first round of tonight’s NFL draft, the Broncos selected receiver Jerry Jeudy, widely regarded as the best route runner in this year’s deep class.

By adding Jeudy, the Broncos give quarterback Drew Lock a premium weapon who can also take pressure off receiver Courtland Sutton and tight end Noah Fant.

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 193 pounds, Jeudy, 21, caught 159 passes for 2,742 yards and 26 touchdowns for Alabama. He was a two-time first-team All-America selection.

Barring a trade, the Broncos’ next pick is No.
