I’ve done a few of them myself. I never thought I would do one for the signing of a punter. But, alas, here we are. John Elway and the Broncos signed Marquette King to a three-year deal on Thursday after he was, in a somewhat surprising move, released by the Oakland Raiders.
As one would suspect, most in Broncos Country loved the move. He’s one of the best in the NFL at what he does and brings major swag. Some hated it, given he was a member of the Raiders. For those in that camp, Broncos Ring of Famers Rich “Tombstone” Jackson and Gene Mingo both played for the Raiders in their careers.
