CHARLOTTE, N.C. — With five of the NFL’s eight division leaders on a bye or having played on Thanksgiving, quality Sunday leftovers were sparse in Week 12 of the NFL season.
Still, the day turned out to be more interesting than expected. The Seahawks enhanced their wild-card chances with a wild win over the Panthers. The Eagles saved a dying season with a comeback win over the Giants. The Steelers lost on the road to the Denver Broncos, while the Vikings pushed the Packers’ postseason chances to the brink with a home victory.
All of those results had major implications for what have become very competitive wild-card races in both conferences.
