Randy Gradishar “thrilled” for Pat Surtain II winning NFL DPOY

Pat Surtain II just had one of the best seasons ever by a cornerback.

Thankfully, the rest of the NFL was keen on that and awarded the Denver Broncos cornerback the NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Surtain is now the second player in Broncos history to win the award.

The other is Hall of Fame linebacker Randy Gradishar. The leader of the Orange Crush Defense won the award following the 1978 season.

So it’s fitting the Broncos website got Gradishar to speak about Surtain and this accomplishment.

As Gradishar said:

“We needed another Bronco to come on the show and say, ‘I’m the Defensive Player of the Year.
