Quarterback Russell Wilson’s acquisition rightly generated the most attention among Broncos general manager George Paton’s offseason moves, but it was only the start.
In his second year leading the team’s roster building, Paton, teamed with new coach Nathaniel Hackett, continued to put his stamp on the organization, adding Wilson and outside linebacker Randy Gregory and using the rest of his resources to improve depth.
Here is a projection on how the initial 53-man roster will look following the final cut on Aug. 30 (we went with the standard 25 offense, 25 defense and three specialists):
Quarterbacks (2)
In: Russell Wilson and Josh Johnson.
