LITTLETON — As hundreds of fans snaked a line around the inside of a Safeway supermarket to meet Phillip Lindsay on Friday, the Broncos running back signed the back of a Grandma’s jersey with his left hand while simultaneously downplaying the white pad covering his right wrist.
Lindsay underwent surgery on that wrist three weeks ago, the second operation in as many offseasons, although the most recent one was a minor scope.
“The procedure definitely helped, because it gave me a lot more flexibility and less pain,” Lindsay said. “The cleanup was to take out some scar tissue that built up over time, which I knew was going to have to happen.
