Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning missed his second consecutive game with torn plantar fascia in his left foot. His return remains in question. Manning, who watched Sunday's game from the locker-room area, will spend a few more days in a cast before beginning strengthening exercises. Manning will not play against San Diego next Sunday, and, depending how his foot responds to treatment and increased activity, he might not be ready when the Broncos host the Oakland Raiders on Dec. 13. The Broncos have not given up on Manning playing again this season, though the conversation is on pause until his health improves.
