Peyton Manning Injury Update: Broncos QB Reportedly Has Torn Plantar Fascia

A day after being benched in favor of Brock Osweiler, it's becoming clear that Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning may be sitting down for far longer than anyone expected.

ESPN.com's Adam Schefter reported Monday that Manning has a torn plantar fascia in his right foot. The former league MVP had been dealing with plantar fasciitis but aggravated the injury in Week 8's loss to the Indianapolis Colts. NFL Network's James Palmer reported "Players don't usually talk about other players injuries, but several players told me yesterday they were concerned about Manning's foot.
