It took 18 years for Peyton Manning to carve out one of the NFL's greatest careers. Twenty four days and counting has not been enough time to decide whether to end it. Manning continues to deliberate, acquiring all information before revealing his intentions.
This much is known: March 9 is a drop-dead date. Manning's $19 million salary is guaranteed at the beginning of the NFL's new league year, and the Broncos won't pay that amount. The Broncos want quarterback Brock Osweiler back, and have made him a competitive contract offer. Ideally there would be resolution with Osweiler before the team's exclusive negotiating window closes Monday.
