Peyton Manning adamantly denied allegations he was supplied human growth horomone by an Indianapolis clinic in 2011. In an interview with ESPN's Lisa Salters on Sunday, Manning called the claims in the Al Jazeera documentary "garbage" and "a complete joke."
Manning also said the allegations were defamation of his character.
Ari Fleischer, a former White House press secretary and current adviser to Manning, told The Denver Post on Saturday night that his team would wait to view Al Jazeera's full documentary before deciding whether to sue. But the burden of proof to win a defamation or libel case for public figures is harder than it is for others.
