Former Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch was almost headed to the Lone Star State instead of the Mile High City.
The Dallas Cowboys were looking to make a move into the first round to grab the quarterback, according to multiple reports. The Cowboys offered Seattle high second- and fourth-round picks (the Nos. 34 and 101 overall picks), according to USA Today, while the Dallas Morning News had Dallas willing to offer teams the Nos. 34 and 67 picks.
“It was problematic for us all along,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said to the Morning News.
