Back during the 2021 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos bypassed quarterback Justin Fields and selected Alabama corner Pat Surtain II with their 9th overall selection in the first round of the draft. Some questioned that move at the time but Surtain quickly silenced all doubters as he quickly became one of the top cornerbacks in the game.
Surtain has appeared in 50 games for the Broncos with 49 starts and has totaled 187 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 7 interceptions, 36 pass deflections, 1 forced fumble, and 1 defensive touchdown. He has become one of, if not the best, cornerback in the league during these three seasons and is also a 2x Pro Bowler and a First Team All-Pro.
