ATLANTA – Broncos owner Pat Bowlen’s daughters want this weekend to be about their father’s expected selection to the Pro Football Hall of Fame instead of the family’s ownership squabble.
Before the annual Merlin Olsen Super Bowl Luncheon here Friday, Beth Bowlen Wallace and Brittany Bowlen, both of whom want to succeed their father as controlling owner, side-stepped questions about the ongoing legal dispute between Bill Bowlen (Pat’s brother and Beth’s uncle) and the three-person trust (believed to support Brittany) that runs the Broncos.
“I know you have to ask that question, but at this time, we’re really going to be focusing on my father and his possible induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” Bowlen Wallace said.
