SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Owner Pat Bowlen's presence in and around the Denver Broncos is so strong that even those who've never met the 71-year-old know what Super Bowl 50 means to him.
"No question, everybody here knows what he [Bowlen] means here," cornerback Chris Harris Jr. said. "We all know, we understand that."
Bowlen formally stepped away from the team's day-to-day operations in 2014 as he dealt with Alzheimer's disease. He was once a fixture at the team's suburban Denver complex, an every-day visitor to practice known for his daily workouts in the weight room and relentless push to put winning teams on the field.
