One suspect in DeMarcus Ware burglary ID’d by pawn shop employee, other by boss, police say

Of the two suspects arrested on suspicion of burglarizing Denver Broncos’ DeMarcus Ware’s home, one was identified to investigators by an employee at a Thornton pawn shop while the other was apparently named by his boss, police records show.

Arrest documents for Billy McCaslin, 40, and Sergio Irreza, 31, were released Thursday by Denver police showing authorities were able to track the pair down thanks to tips from the public.

McCaslin’s alleged involvement first became known to investigators after an anonymous tipster said McCaslin frequently pawned items. Police then went to the Thornton pawn shop where an employee said she was “100 percent positive” he was the person pictured in surveillance images taken at Ware’s home in Cherry Creek.
