Omar Bolden's return from a hamstring injury was promising but short-lived. The Broncos' safety and leading punt-returner ran back a punt 42 yards in the first quarter of Denver's divisional playoff victory over the Steelers on Sunday.
But about seven minutes later, on a Broncos punt, Bolden went down with a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Bolden never returned and said after that doctors told him it was a ligament issue and that his knee was "loose."
Coach Gary Kubiak said Sunday evening that Bolden's knee was the Broncos' "big injury," but offered no further details.
